What is Floating or Sensory Deprivation?

It is a gentle and simple way to achieve deep relaxation, meditation, wellness and centered-ness.

“Floating” as commonly known, or Sensory Deprivation, Flotation Therapy or REST Therapy (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Technique) is one of the most effective means of stress relief and relaxation available.

What to Expect!

Floating can be compared to a deep or enhanced meditation.  A number of benefits associated with the deep mediative states of floating is being shown and supported by science. Science has also shown that floatation therapy as a tool for meditation, creativity or rest & recovery, has a wide-range of benefits that are difficult to get anywhere else.

Once you enter the float room and after taking a shower you enter the tank and then slowly relax. As you merge with the water your thoughts will slowly dissipate as you enter into deeper states of relaxation.

Endorphins are released and stress hormones are reduced. People can experience a heightened state of all of their senses, that can continue after the session has completed. Sessions last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2.5 hours (or more if you’re really adventurous).
