I look forward to assisting you in achieving optimum nutrition and wellness.
Growing up I was a fussy eater and always underweight. In my teenage years I had terrible acne, but had the mentality I could eat whatever I want, whenever I want and it would not affect me being petite and a professional dancer. When I completed by undergraduate degree and began working in the corporate world I was constantly experiencing symptoms of congestion, fatigue, digestive issues, terrible menstrual cycle pain, and adult acne. I had a realization; there must be a better way where I don’t suffer from these issues.
It was time to let go of who I thought I was, work on myself, and to finally acknowledge and act on my intended purpose. From there I embarked on my own wellness journey. I learned I was a fussy eater when I was a child because I was intolerant to dairy and wheat. Once I removed those culprits from my diet a number of my symptoms improved. I turned to yoga and weight training to build energy and put on weight in a healthy way. I developed a simple supplement regime tailored to my needs that helped improve my menstrual cycle.
My purpose is to assist others with their wellness journey and show them that there is a better way. Why? I genuinely believe every person is born with the divine right to optimum wellness. A wellness that is not just physical, but also emotional and spiritual. I enrolled with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. I completed the self-study distance education program and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) in 2015. I felt the need to continue my education and by the recommendation of my twin brother I enrolled with the CHEK Institute in 2016 and completed the Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level (HLC) 1 in December 2016 and Level 2 in September 2017.
Why work with Holistic Lifestyle Coach?
The HLC program is based upon the techniques that have helped thousands of people increase vitality, decrease stress and sculpt the body of their dreams. HLC's look at the underlying causes of disease and stress, considering the body as a “system of systems.” Using a coaching model, you will learn how disease and stress are preventable through healthy eating habits, lifestyle management and appropriate types of exercise.
You will understand why every meal, every bout of exercise and every late night has a hormonal consequence. You will be given tools, such as in-depth questionnaires, to assess and determine your readiness for change.
You’ll likely agree that just because someone is not sick, does not mean he or she is well! Most chronic diseases take years to develop, but a healthy lifestyle can go a long way toward prevention. The education gained by a Holistic Lifestyle Coach Program (CHEK HLC) does not include “quick fixes”- which never work long term, but instead uses proven principles which build a strong foundation of health.
My wellness journey still continues today and I look forward to every part of it. I've served as a Board Member on the Food Matters Board of Directors and am the owner of Holistic Seva Nutrition Consulting I have successfully provided sound and effective holistic nutrition and wellness counselling. I am confidential, accurate, and professional in my consultation services.
